The Myasthenia Gravis Association (MGA) is thrilled to announce our first-ever Snowflake Saturday, a multi-location event held on June 7, 2025, in honor of MG Awareness Month! With the goal of raising awareness and building community, Snowflake Saturday will bring together patients, caregivers, advocates, and healthcare professionals across three cities for a morning of connection, education, and empowerment.

How Snowflake Saturday Came to Be

The Myasthenia Gravis Association (MGA) is proud to continue its longstanding tradition of raising awareness and fostering community support through our annual awareness event. In 2013, Wichita Support Group Coordinators Larry and Dana Paxson introduced the first annual MG Walk for Awareness, bringing together over 90 participants at Towne West Square Mall and raising more than $4,000 in support of MG awareness.

In 2018, the event evolved into the MGA Snowflake Shuffle 0.1K, incorporating a fun and engaging approach to advocacy.

Now, in 2025, we are expanding our reach by introducing Snowflake Saturday, bringing this cherished event to three locations to further unite and support the MG community across our region.
