Join the Myasthenia Gravis Association for our 65th Annual Meeting & Educational Seminar, a day filled with learning, inspiration, and community. Whether you attend in Kansas City or online, this event is designed to inform, empower, and bring together those living with myasthenia gravis, their families, and the professionals who support them.


This year’s program features two incredible keynote speakers, a Neurology Q&A panel with leading MG specialists, and opportunities to connect with vendors, caregivers, and fellow community members. Breakfast and lunch will be served, and virtual attendees within the U.S. will receive a meeting packet by mail. Physical Therapist, Author, MG Advocate, and Retired U.S. Navy Officer

Diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis in 2017, Dr. Liz Plowman brings a rare dual perspective as both clinician and patient. She is the author of Some Spoons Are Worth Spending: Practical Energy Conservation Strategies to Live Your Best Life with Myasthenia Gravis, and a passionate advocate for improving the quality of life for those with chronic fatigue and neuromuscular conditions. Her keynote will explore practical strategies for living and thriving with MG while finding strength in resilience.

Psychologist, Consultant, Rare Disease Advocate, and Rare Dad

A psychologist and father of Jack, who lived with Spinal Muscular Atrophy for 26 years, Dr. Freedman brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the rare disease community. Through heartfelt storytelling, he offers insight into the emotional and psychological needs of families navigating rare and chronic illness. His keynote will focus on compassion, connection, and the power of lived experience in driving meaningful support.
