June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month, and we’re kicking things off with a full calendar of programs and events to connect, empower, and educate our MG community! Whether you're looking to learn from top experts, hear inspiring personal stories, or simply connect over coffee, there's something for everyone. From special presentations and support groups to our exciting Snowflake Saturday events across three cities, this month is all about coming together and raising awareness for MG. Take a look at what’s coming up and mark your calendars—you won’t want to miss it!


Sunday June 2, 2025 | Light the Globe for MG: Kansas City Wheel 

8:00pm - 12:00am 

KC Wheel | 2485 Jefferson Street, Kansas City, MO 64108

Join MG organizations across the globe on Sunday June 2nd as we light the world teal for MG awareness! We're excited to share that the KC Wheel and St. Louis Wheel will both be lit teal on Sunday June 2nd for awareness! Perhaps a landmark in your community may be willing to light it up in teal or simply turn on your porch light in awareness. Take a picture and hashtag #lighttheglobformg to share with others.

Katie Coffman was born and raised in Central Iowa. She was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis in 2009, at the age of 19. Join us to learn more about her journey. This event promises a dynamic and engaging experience with plenty of opportunities to connect with others affected by MG.

Special Guest Speaker: Parker E. Bohm, M.D.

Dr. Bohm will be discussing new therapies for Myasthenia Gravis and highlighting an important clinical insight: the need to educate providers on the limitations of oxygen saturation when assessing breathing difficulties in MG patients. His presentation will offer both practical advice and the latest in MG research and treatment updates.

Wednesday June 18, 2025 | St. Joesph Support Group

Rolling Hills Library - Belt Branch | 1904 North Belt Highway, Saint Joseph, MO 64506

Join us for our next group meeting and hear from Dave Dobbins, an electrical engineer from Kansas City who was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis over 20 years ago. After managing symptoms with traditional treatments for many years, Dave took part in a clinical drug trial that brought significant improvements to his daily life. He’ll be sharing his experience and what has helped him along the way. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, have been living with MG for years, or are a caregiver—come visit, connect, and chat with others who understand.
