Last week I had the opportunity to visit our newest clinic in Springfield, MO, and although a short but sweet trip, it was totally worth it!
In case you missed it, the MGA opened another clinic alongside Dr. Tania Papsdorf at the Jared Neuroscience Center. The Jared Neuroscience Center is part of CoxHealth system and is located on the Cox Medical Center South campus.
Dr. Papsdorf holds her MG clinic once a month and gets to see her MG patients back to back on the same day. Every single patient I met had something positive to say about the care they receive from Dr. Papsdorf. It is evident she is respected by not just her patients but her peers and we are so excited to have her on the MGA team.
The MGA clinic will mirror Dr. Papsdorf’s clinic and a member of the MGA staff will be there representing our organization, providing support to patients from near and far. My biggest takeaway from working at the Springfield clinic was the kindness that permeated the town. Everyone was so considerate, helpful, and welcoming. People went out of their way to ensure I had the right tools and resources to support their patients.
Speaking of support, we have a Springfield Support Group coming up this May. Join us on Tuesday, May 3rd from 6:00-7:30 at the Residence Inn Marriott Springfield as we will hear from Kathy Logan of Alexion, educating us on the MG-ADL scale.
