A little history lesson for ya…did you know that the Wichita Walk started in 2013 at the hands of Wichita support group leaders, Dana and Larry Paxson? After Larry’s diagnosis with MG, the two began tossing around the idea of having an event to raise greater awareness in the Wichita area. Their first event happened only a few months later, raising more than $4,000.00 with over 90 participants!

In 2018, the Wichita Walk was rebranded to the Snowflake Shuffle 0.1K; an event where you don’t have to run or walk anywhere, and bonus, everybody gets a medal!
Why the name, Snowflake Shuffle? Many people refer to myasthenia gravis as a snowflake disease because, although the same diagnosis, everybody’s experiences are different. The Wichita group prides itself on the amazing raffles that participants can bid on, fellowship, friendship, food, and activities.
This year, the Snowflake Shuffle 0.1K will take place Saturday, June 12th at the Linwood Recreation Center in Wichita! While this is an indoor/outdoor event, the MGA will be requiring masks inside the Linwood Recreation Center. Social distancing will be maintained and if you are sick or are feeling ill, we ask that you kindly stay home for the safety and wellbeing of our community.
Participants will enjoy a boxed lunch from Jason’s Deli, time with friends, and have an opportunity to chat with sponsors including argenx, Alexion, and ARJ. There will also be a photo op with our Snowflake Shuffle Insta-frame and anyone can buy raffle tickets for some incredible prizes! To register for the event, click here.
We would like to thank Dana and Larry Paxson, all of our participating sponsors, and in-kind supporters for making this event possible. Thank you to our sponsors Alexion pharmaceuticals, argenx, ARJ Infusion Services, CSM, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Nufactor, and Team Cocktail.
